Kanoon Iran Persian School, founded in 1984 by Dr. Reza Ghasemi in London, is one of the oldest Persian language schools in the UK. Established to preserve and promote the Persian language among children of the Iranian community, the school has introduced hundreds of students to Persian language and literature over four decades. Following Dr. Ghasemi’s passing in 2022, the school has continued as an independent non-profit, managed by an elected committee of volunteer parents and teachers.

Kanoon Iran Persian School has over 40 years of heritage in Persian education abroad, and has been instrumental in helping children sit UK high school exams in Persian. The publication of the first Persian textbook in the UK (1986) remains one of its milestones. Beyond language skills, the school introduces students to Persian literature and cultural heritage, strengthening identity and connection among the younger generation of Persian speakers in London.
