Hafez Persian School is one of the longest-running Persian language and culture schools in the UK, established in 1999 in Sutton, South London. Led by Mrs Nazanin Abolkheriyan and Dr Hamid Reza Fotuhi, the school offers structured Persian language education from pre-school to GCSE and A Level, fostering both linguistic skills and cultural appreciation among British-Iranian students.
The school provides a variety of classes including Persian language (reading, writing, speaking, and listening), conversation-only sessions, writing practice, Persian dance, drama, and traditional music lessons (Tombak, Daf, Tar, and Setar) for children and adults. Lessons are held in small groups every Saturday, with extra writing and conversation classes available during the week. Online classes are also offered on Sundays.
Hafez Persian School is a non-political and non-religious educational institution, welcoming students from all backgrounds.
